 Wow, another 6 months had passed , the older one gets, the time seems shorter day by day. It's raining today and next few days. Maybe the last of the storm for this Winter.

 Temperature slowly dropping, daylight is getting shorter, leaves are falling. A good indication that everything in this universe is ready for the Winter. 

Labor day weekend is the time my dive friends get together of the abalone. Few years ago, the giant kelp of California coast slowly die off. Kelp is the source of food for the abalone. If the kelp is gone so is the abalone. So the state had a ban of collecting the abalone. But the tradition continue. I had missed the past 4 years due to the COVID pandemic. This year we had a good turn-out for the event. 

Our friend Mati is an avid  fisherman, At the weekend potluck, he cooked the collar from a 250 lb. bluefin tuna he caught. The meat is juicy and tender, full of fat. Good fat !

 There are many songs about a city. There isn't one as beautiful as "I left my heart in San Francisco" by Tony Bennett. I was fortune enough to come to SF 50 years ago, I fell in love for the people, streets. All this western culture was new to me, I want every bit of it. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the city has changed, in a big way. Streets are dirty and empty. Where is the city Tony described so nicely?

 100 years old Henry Kissinger flew all the way to Beijing to meet high ranked Chinese officials. Although this visit was a private visit but what is the urgency that US must sent him ? the relationship between US and China is at the lowest time.

There is an historic significance for Kissinger who had developed the relation with China half century ago. Most important is he was able to meet defense minister on power balance which US was unable to meet.

Mr. Kissinger must not like how Trump and Biden took the direction dealing with China.. Let the old hand handle this matter.

 If time travel is possible, will you go back in time to a certain event that you have seen the result? Scottish Open was played in Scotland on Sunday which was late Saturday in our time. By Sunday morning , we know Rory Mcllroy had won the tournament beating Robert MacIntyre by one stroke. When Rory entering 17th hole, MacIntyre was lead by one stroke. Rory shot a birdy and tied the game. MacIntyre start warming up for the potential play-off with Rory if Rory shot a par. But you know the result, Rory won by shotting a birdy.

Here is the thing, as MacIntyre busy warming up, all I want to shout  was "Dude, you LOST, no need to warm up." What if we can see our future, knowing how we will end up, would you like that ?

 Time flies , last post was over a year ago. It's not that I did not have anything to talk about , just life got caught in a circle. Plus my medical condition that made me lack of motivation. I read an article about how to exercise your brain by reading and writing. I do believe this is a good therapy so I will give it a try. 

We are in the middle of an extreme heatwave, South/West of US  getting record high temperature. San Jose is in 100 degrees. advised that people stay home and drink lots water.
