It is fascinating to see such high resolution photos taken from satellite flying in our earth orbit. The detail of those photos had made few countries feeling nervous. When I discovered Google Earth, I am certainly want to give that a try. There is a free version of the program you can download and install on your computer. You can navigate around the city like playing the flight simulator.

Anything gets used too much eventually becomes annoying. Cell phone was a good thing until someone using it too freely, I mean using cell phone in public. You feel the most impact when in confined spaces, like in the bus, in the elevator. There is no escape. I ride the bus to work twice a day, 5 days a week. I have to endure those ignorant people on the cell phone none stop chatting. Many times, unwillingly listen to people's problem, possible company's secrets, and their daily lives. Do they even aware of what's been heard ? Total disregard of other's existence. I too use cell phone in public area but I always try to get to the point and keep it short. One time this young lady on my bus who was talking on her cell phone from the time I board the bus until I got off. Which was about 25 minutes. Yes, I heard all of their conversation. I can't think of any thing that was so important that the conversation had lasted for more then 25 minutes. One observation I heard about this type of people, basically they are lonely, cell phone is their way of connecting with other's.
Here is something related to cell phone, is the cell station. Some "study" shown that the radiation from the cell station is harmful to human. Taipei city is full of cell stations, they are everywhere. Residents living near by had raised concerns. Environmental groups are demanding the reduction of cell stations in the city. Here is the thing, do cell phone uses want good coverage ? Can you live with dead spots that render your cell phone useless ? So the phone companies build more cell station to give you that convenience.
We are facing an over consumption problem with our modern life. We have become less tolerable to discomfort.
