Another firework shot of the Taipei 101 building. They said that 2009 would be the last time for the firework display because it had lost the status of the world tallest building to Burj Dubai. Due to the delay of the opening of Burj Dubai, Taipei 101 retains the title at least for the year of 2009. Aided by the upturn of the economy, the firework is back on. I watched the show on the rooftop of our apartment because I did not want to fight the crowd of million spectators and wading through foot deep of trash coming home.
Because of the intensity of the firework and the close proximity of the sparks, it is very hard to take photos. This shot was taken with 2 seconds exposure time, F22 aperture setting, ISO200 and it is still over exposed the image. It will have to shorten the exposure time to one second and just take partial image of the explosion.

(Two)
Second installment of my project of numbers, the "Two". I have the feeling that this project will not go too much further, if do, I am very lucky.
Number two (actually 2 number Two's), and two BMWs
(Cold)
Today's temperature hit 50 degrees, its the coldest day of this Winter so far. This will continue until Tuesday next week. Its not a good day for the homeless people.
(One)
I know this is not going to be easy (maybe even impossible) but I think I will make this my on-going project. Photo of a number and the corresponding number of items in the photo.
Here is the start.
(Man of oyster omelette)
Popular dish you find at most night markets in Taiwan. The dish consists of starch mixed with egg for the wrapper of small oysters. Spicy sauce poured on top for the added flavor. It is strange that there are 4 or 5 places that serve this same dish in the nearby area but only this place has a line out to the door.
(Waiting in Line)
The food blog is growing like mushrooms after the rain. Dinners are also become sophisticated enough to read these blogs. With the word of mouth, places like this can become over night success. The longer the line, the better the food?? Not aways. I have tried few places that have high remarks but they were duds to me.
I really like my Canon G11. Much improved in sensor noise at high ISO. Vibration reduction feature really works. I can crank up the ISO to 400 and hand held for a night shot and still able to get a nice sharp image. Both images above were taken with G11 at ISO200, 1/50, F2.8
