Hey Doc

9/9/2010, 6:11PM, a 30-inch underground gas pipeline exploded near San Bruno Ave. neighborhood. Sending a ball of flame 1000 feet high. 38 homes burned to the ground. Four people die from the explosion.
I was visiting a friend who lives in South San Francisco. He was walking his dog and thought that the fire was in their streets where he lives. We took a ride up to San Bruno Ave. today to see if we can get close to the site but it was still roped off. We can only see from the street few miles away.

You can't see the blast site and burned down houses, you can only see the burned trees in this photo.

I remember that morning when I turned the TV on to catch weather information for the day and saw something looked like only happen in Hollywood movies. The entire day, people in the office gathered around the TV and watched the whole incident in disbelieve. I think the life of everyone in this country one way or the other has changed since that day. Never forget!
