Detox Vegetable Soup

I got this recipes from my sister long time ago. It is suppose to detoxify your body, but I have only made it once before. I bought some fresh vegetables from the produce market today that prompted me to make this soup again. There is no set vegetables to use but follow the rules of five different color of the vegetables. Black, white, red , yellow and green. You can use any vegetable inthat color, even suggested that you should switch often. This time I have shitaki mushroom for the black, onion for the white, tomato and carrots for the red, corn for the yellow and celery, edamame for the green. On the tomato, I like to remove the seeds but leave the skin on.
Soup time:
1. for fast cooking time, diced all the vegetables into small pieces.
2. Filtered water or just plain tap water.
3. Salt and black pepper to taste.
4. Combine all the about and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Use carrots as your cooking time indicator. When it becomes soft to your preference, turn off the stove and you have yourself a wonderful and health soup.

The soup gets a lot of flavor from the vegetables but if it is still too bland for you, add some flavoring seasonings like the Hon-dashi scallop flavor from Ajinomoto. (note: I am not affiliated with the company, just a customer).
